Yes. That does make grammatical sense!
So you have been reading some blogs about making money online, and you’re ready to start working on a project of your own.
Chances are you’re inclined to start your own version of the blogs you’re so fond of.
Doesn’t look too difficult, you think to yourself. I could do that.
And now you’re another blogger blogging about blogging!
What is wrong with that?
Nothing – really – besides the fact everyone is doing it.
I wrote about this issue earlier, in my article about how to make your Wealthy Affiliate website better.
(Not sure what is Wealthy Affiliate? Read my review here)
As I mentioned in my previous article, creating a unique website is much easier said than done.
But here’s something I didn’t think about:
You can blog about whatever you want, even if it is a saturated niche. But you have to make it a little different.
How do you do that? Start by taking a long look in the mirror.
This is something I have been trying to crack for a long time, and I’m still in the process of figuring it all out.
I probably never will. But while I search for answers, I’ll write about it here.
Maybe run away from your life for a bit. Run off into the mountains, find a nice rock, sit down, and take a hard look at your life.
Get away from everyone and everything and focus on being alone. Alone with your thoughts.
- Who are you? What do you want? Do your online projects actually matter?
- What if they don’t? Would you be ready to give it all up?
- And how do you figure out if something matters or not?
- Are you doing it for money? (most people are!)
So many questions. So few answers.
As most people agree, it all starts with mindset work.
Most successful entrepreneurs (and website owners are entrepreneurs!) have a certain mindset.
Matching their mindset is not easy. There are so many books about “Becoming a Millionaire” on Amazon.
Most of the time these authors are broke, or all their income comes from a book that teaches other people how to make money.
Find Your WHY:
Figure out your why.
Why are you working on this site?
Once you can come up with a short simple explanation for your project, things will become a lot easier for you.
When people have a strong why they’re projects usually grow far into the future.
So to summarize, instead of being another blogger blogging about blogging – try to come up with something unique.
Don’t copy and paste ideas.
Figure out your why and things will fall into place.
And you’ll be a lot more successful than all these bloggers.
